I provide general assistance and advice on a volunteer basis to children, adolescents and adults with various chronic illnesses. In addition, I am available for professional consultation.

        I have a Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University, am certified nationally as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and in Maryland as a Certified Professional Counselor. I have also been a school teacher and a college professor.  I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Counseling Association, and the American Mental Health Counselors Assocation, and I subscribe the ethical standards of each of these organizations.

        Currently I work in a public mental health clinic and have a private practice.  At the clinic I see both adolescents and adults who have a variety of mental health problems, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety problems.   In my private practice in Easton, Maryland, I do couples work and see both adults and adolescents with a wide variety of problems.  I am particularly interested in the behavioral management of pain and other somatic problems.
