Kentucky is the name of the wooded ravine that runs from the plowed fields of Aaron Anthony's old "Holme Hill" farm to the banks of the Tuckahoe River. A spring was in the ravine. Douglass' family got water from the spring. His grandparents' cabin was near the head of the ravine.
